Speaking at seminars is a lucrative business for motivational speakers. Not only do they get to do a job they love, they get to inspire other people with their words. It takes effort and perseverance to break into the world of seminar speaking.

Choose a topic you would like to speak about. Motivational and seminar speakers specialize in a general topic. It could be leadership, careers, trials, attitude or another topic where you have experience. Choose a topic you have credentials for.

Write your seminar or presentation. Decide how long you'd like it to be and what topics you'll cover. Gather any visual aids you plan on using. Practice your presentation using all of your visual aids.

Find out about seminars in your area. Start small so you can build a portfolio of experience to show potential clients. Look for small business seminars and business meetings. Contact your local chamber of commerce and business professional organizations, and check out community calendars .

Offer your services for free to build experience. Call the seminar coordinator and let him know you are available to speak. Share the outline of your presentation and what areas you focus on. You can also send an outline of the presentation.

Collect testimonials and feedback from those who see your presentation. Use these when marketing yourself to seminars in which you would be compensated. Feedback is the only way to prove that you are a successful seminar speaker.

Market yourself when you feel like you've gotten enough exposure while volunteering. Keep track of related seminars in your area and send an outline and a pricing sheet to the organizers. Make sure you know the date, time, address and what the seminar is for.

Be willing to do presentations at places or events that you don't want to. The experience and feedback will help you get other seminar bookings.

The Shifting Traffic Lane of Sudirman Corridor

The crossing in the Gladag Sector is one of the Big Crossings in the Surakarta. Even though it is big, but the traffic jam cannot be avoided. In the end, Dishub Surakarta give a live simulator in shifting the Traffic Lane in some place in order to decrease the number of traffic jam in Jendral Sudirman Corridor.

In the first day of the live simulator, there is a traffic jam in the Loji Wetan’s crossing. It is really different with the Dishub was planned for. In the end, Dishub Surakarta change the traffic lane back to normal.

This shifting has positive responses from the rider. The traffic jam decrease a lot, even there are some violation of the rules in the first day.

37th Anniversary of UNS, Students Having More Willing To Go International

Surakarta, a work of erudition and of superior product of UNS’ exhibition was held in the Student Center of UNS to celebrate the 37th anniversary of this university. There were a lot of innovative works and products which are made by students. This exhibition also promoted students’ organization in UNS. One of them is AIESEC.

AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization, aimed to develop student’s leadership, skills, etc. through students exchange in more than 114 Countries. “There are 2 Programs available; JCDP the Voluntary work program and JIP Professional job” said Farkhan, the M.  This Organization opened their recruitment for the students and alumnus of UNS whose age are less than 30. Annually, at least one student will be exchanged to another country after he/she had a selection test. There were two kinds of selection test; Regular Selection Exchange and Exchange Fair Summer. This organization was below the International Office of UNS and above the students’ activity organization, so that its office was near International Office of UNS.

37th Anniversary, UNS ready to go International

37^th Anniversary of UNS, More Active and More Service

37^th Anniversary of UNS is held joyfully during March and brings a lot of new impressions to the students and society around UNS. The celebration is held from the early March until nearly end of March.

This Celebration is different from the previous celebration. It can be seen clearly from the programs those are held by UNS. The Programs are divided into four categories; Sports and Arts, Science and Exhibition, Ceremonial, and Social Dedication.

It is a good way to make a better impression of UNS to the students and society around UNS. Moreover, it also shows that UNS doesn’t not only want to develop student’s knowledge and personality but also wants to develop the environment around UNS.

            To make a better impression around its students, UNS holds the erudition works and superior products of UNS’ students, National Karate Championship, Marathon Championship, etc. In Dedication to Society such as Reforestation UNS successfully make a better impression in the society. In this celebration UNS doesn’t only build its good-impression but also build its facilities for the students. The pedestrian route was built to make the street inside UNS’ area more joyful for the pedestrians. To keep UNS clean from the trash, UNS also build several trashes in pedestrian route.

            Clearly, in this 37^th Anniversary UNS grows better than the previous anniversary with its programs. Hopefully, those kinds of programs can be hold not only in this UNS’ anniversary celebration but also for the next anniversary celebration. This kind of celebration isn’t only give some benefits for UNS as the host but also for the students and society around UNS.
